For Octane, a purely GPU renderer, an nvidia GTX 650 was used (it performs very similarly to the Intel i7 3770).

Octane has a very strange naming system, so it's very hard, in the beginning, to figure out how to use it. I've been using octane for around 8 months now, and I feel like I could never go back to the Cinema 4D renderer, it's just so much nicer!
